By working through a task and supporting others
We must plan, organize, lead and control
All in an attempt to complete our goal
To do this we can follow Theory X or Y
Doesn’t matter really whichever fits your style
As long as your acts are ethical during dilemmas
Your problems go away so just forget about them
With increasing diversity in the workplace we got to be just
Breaking through the Glass Ceiling is a must
In organizations we use many strategies
To be in a state we’d much rather be
Now we come to the end of this semester long journey

Productivity of Blogging

There were many good as well bad things about the blog. The blog did help us reach out to other classmates but from looking at other people’s blog, it seems like the same people responded to the same blog. Perhaps if the groups in class were randomized and the blog entry corresponding to it required you to respond to your new group members’ blogs. This way, you are responding to different individual’s blogs while at the same time extending the class communication outside of class.
In the second goal of the blog which was thinking about the activities we conducted in class, I believe this was reached. I thought more about what I did in class and whatever I didn’t understand, the blog made me look up more info until I find out.
Well the blog did act as an easy 20 percent of our grade. Unfortunately, keeping up with blackboard has always been my problem so knowing due dates kind of gave me trouble. Nonetheless it was a good idea to help people get a better grade as well as learn material they might not have really understood in class. It kind of put less pressure on the exams which allowed a clearer mind to study for and take the exam.
I will probably post just during the breaks or when I have a lot of free time. After a while, I will probably forget that I have this blog. I usually don’t keep up with most of these internet sites.

D.I.S.C

My test results determined that I was a C which makes me Conscientious. This accurately reflects who I am as I do act in the same manner one would. I am exact, adhere to rules, follow certain structures, and very much so diplomatic. It’s tough for me to wholeheartedly choose a side particularly between friends. Some of the characteristics are incorrect such as being neat and doing a job correct the first time.
I would like to more of the D or Dominance type because I believe I can be more effective with such a personality. I think the older you get, the harder it is to become another type. To make the change you basically need to change a good chunk of your way of living, views, etc.
I think it is slightly helpful to determine individual’s management type just to have a sense of what they are like. I wouldn’t leave the test to strictly decide the type of person they are but instead as a reference point.
